Renewable Energy

The Company’s copper product is typically purchased by wire and rod, ammunition and magnetic wire manufacturers in the Midwestern United States for use fabricating electrical wiring and piping that have many industrial applications including electricity transmission, housing piping and wiring, cell phones, vehicles, aircraft and air conditioning.

Importantly, copper cathode is used to manufacture renewable energy products including electrical vehicles, electric vehicle charging stations, wind power turbines and solar panels as well as related connectivity to the electrical grid. Renewable energy applications are particularly copper intensive because copper conductivity replaces the power generated by fossil fuels. As an example, a typical electric vehicle requires approximately four times the copper content as a standard combustion engine vehicle.
